When I was a little girl - about 6 years old - there was this little country tea house I went to with my Grandma, and it was called the Pomeroy House! I remember tasting this amazing peanut soup (it really is SO good, I know it sounds weird - but if you haven't tried peanut soup before, I highly recommend it!), drinking tea in a frilly dress, and feeling so fancy and happy be spending time with my Grandma one on one (I have three other siblings - so time without them was rare!). The little tea house is closed now - they still have a beautiful farm where they host weddings, but it will always hold a special place in my heart!

So, when I designed this wrap- I thought about this day quite a bit.  Maybe its because it makes me feel fancy when I wear it, like how I felt when visiting the tea house - or my Grandma taught me to crochet, and this is one of my favorite memories with her. Either way,  I hope you love this triangle scarf as much as I do!

Can I also just say -  I am totally nerding out over this Mandala Yarn by Lionbrand I used for this wrap! I am tempted to make one in every color, just to see how they work up!:)

Notes: This pattern is worked from the top down. The starting chain in each row does NOT count as the first stitch.

Chain 229.

Row 1: In the 2nd chain from the hook, make a SC. SC all the way across. Chain 1 and turn. (228).

Row 2: HDC in each SC all the way across. Chain 1 and turn (228).

Row 3: This is where we start the Puff Stitch and learning how to work in the 3rd loop of a HDC stitch. If you have never used this technique before, a helpful video tutorial can

be found here: http://www.mooglyblog.com/third-loop-half-double-crochet/ (Note: keep in mind this tutorial is for working a HDC into the 3rd loop – in this pattern, we will be working a puff stitch into that loop).

Chain 3 (4 including your starting chain). Skip 3 stitches. Wrap the yarn around your hook, and then insert your hook into the 3rd loop, as shown in the photo below:

This begins your Puff Stitch. Wrap the yarn around your hook and pull through the loop so there are 3 loops on your hook. Wrap the yarn around, insert the hook back into the loop. Wrap the yarn around again, pull through. There should be 5 loops on your hook. Repeat this process until 11 loops on your hook as shown in the photo below:

Note: This is when I switched to Joy DK by Loops N’ Threads. Its perfect for finishing because of its sheen and crisp stitch definition!

To finish the wrap, SC evenly (and rather loosely so your wrap will not bunch) all the way around. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Next: Add your tassels! A great written tutorial for tassels is here: http://www.dummies.com/crafts/knitting/how-to-make-a-tassel-out-of-yarn/

And another video tutorial is here:

Note: I made my tassels very chubby – because I love how they look that way! I wrapped my yarn around the cardboard about 40 times.
